the sun still rises even when you don't want it to
5:30 am still feels like rocks
even after a month
I like the way black nail polish looks
but hate the smell.

the nearest Galaxy is 2 billion billion light years away
and I cannot even fathom the distance from me to home.
the sky is still blue,
even in other parts of the world
but you're still under a cover of clouds, friend.

you can learn to hold your breath for a half an hour
but lose it the second she walks in
you can shut your eyes, and still experience
you can close your ears, and still observe
but the things you miss
is the same way my pen misses paper;
